In this section we try to answer the most frequently asked questions about the rentals, the arrivals and all the other questions about our services. If you don't find the answer to your question in our list of replies, please don't hesitate to contact us directly.
How can we get the apartment keys?
In Venice Rentalinitaly provides a Meet&Greet service for collecting apartment keys. A local representative will meet you at the public bus station nearest to the apartment and escort you directly to the property. In other destinations you will receive keys directly in front of the rented property from local representative or property owners.
At what time can we get the keys?
In all our destinations you are requested to inform us about your arrival time in order to fix an appointment with our staff for the key collection. This information can be given at reservation time or at least 5 days prior arrival. Check-in not earlier than 3 p.m. of the confirmed arrival date.
Can we get the keys late at night?
Key collection can take place between 3 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. After 7.30 p.m. the service is not included anymore and payable locally : Euro 55.00 between 7.30 p.m. and 11.30 p.m., Euro 70.00 later than 11.30 p.m.
Where do we leave property keys at departure?
Rentalinitaly staff will meet you at your property to recollect the keys. (Sometimes you will be requested to leave keys inside the property before your departure.)
At what time do we need to leave the apartment?
On departure day you will have to leave the apartment within 10 a.m.
Where can we deposit our luggage?
Your luggage can be deposited at the Railway Station in Venice, Florence and Rome, or at the Rentalinitaly office if staying in Venice but only from Mondays to Fridays from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
Are pets allowed?
Not in all of our apartments, so it is better to specify it in each request/booking. For all the apartments where pets are allowed we will ask a higher security deposit to cover possible damages.
Linen and towels are provided at my arrival?
Yes, you will find linen and towels for each person booked and you will also find tea towels in the kitchen.
Is a change of linen and towels included?
No, but it is possible to ask for a change of linen and towels paying a supplement.
Do I need to clean the apartment at my departure?
No, our cleaning staff will come to clean the apartment, the only thing that we ask our clients to do is to clean the dishes (dishes, glasses, pots etc.) and to throw away the rubbish.
Does the apartment has a telephone?
Not all of our apartments have a telephone, so please specify that you need it in each request/booking.
Do I need to send an account when booking an apartment?
Yes, the 30% of the total amount and 30 days before your arrival you will have to pay the balance. For all the last minute reservations (30 days before) you will have to pay the 100% before your arrival.
Do you provide baby cots?
We have travelling baby cot for maximum 3 years old child, but we do not provide linen for it. Please note that usually it is necessary to pay a supplement for the transport and rental of the baby cot - please ask our booking office.
What kind of documents do you need at my arrival?
We will need your passport for the personal details to be registered at the police office and your voucher to prove that you paid your stay.
Can I give the security deposit by credit card?
For Venice reservations we accept Visa and MasterCard.
For Rome and Tuscany reservations we only accept cheques or cash. We do not accept American Express and Diners.
Can I pay the security deposit by cheque?
Yes, but it has to be a cheque with Euro currency.
Are there shops/restaurants near our apartment?
During the check-in our local representative will inform you about the nearest amenities.
If I need assistance during my stay, who should I call?
Our local representative will give you our office number and the name of the person to contact for any problem during your stay.
