This 19th-century nobleman's home offers an idyllic Tuscan setting, total privacy and an enviable location just 30 minutes from Florence. Set on three levels, Villa il Cipresso is furnished with elegant antiques, decorative floors and elaborately frescoed ceilings. An impressive ornamental fireplace also adorns the dining room. From the house itself, and especially from the dining verandah, there is a marvellous view of the Florentine hills. Empoli, with supermarkets, shops, and restaurants is just a five minute drive away. In addition to Florence being only 30 minutes away, a 45 minute drive leads to San Gimignano. This strategic location is ideal for numerous day trips. Siena, Cortona, and Montepulciano, Cinque Terre in Liguria and Bologna in Emilia Romagna can all be reached within 90 minute drives. Ground Floor: Living room with fireplace, TV and doors to the outside. Small living room. Dining room with ornamental fireplace. Kitchen with stove top, oven, two fridges, dishwasher, toaster oven and fireplace. Small dining room with phone and back door to the rear garden. Half bath with washing machine. FIRST FLOOR: Three bedrooms each with two single beds, of which two with ensuite bathroom and bathtub. One bedroom with a king size bed and ensuite bathroom with tub. One bedroom with a French bed and en suite bathroom with tub. SECOND FLOOR: One bedroom with a queen size bed and en suite bathroom with hip tub. With the exception of the 2nd floor bedroom and the kitchen (which are simpler and more rustic), the interiors are furnished with elegant antiques. Most of the rooms have very decorative floors, in colourful tiles or patterned hardwood, and elaborately frescoed ceilings. The dining room also has an impressive ornamental fireplace. Three rooms in the villa, one on the ground floor and one on the first floor, are not open for use. The swimming pool is aboveground, opened from 1 June to 30th September.
